The tour starts in the pumpkin theater.The children gather
around while Farmer Jensen, assisted by his crow puppet, tells about the preparation,
planting, growing and the harvesting as the seasons progress.
It is a narrative game in which the audience participates, pretending to plant
seeds and gesturing for rain and the passing of days.
| The participation includes hands on and questions and answers.
The children handle the different types of seeds.
Farmer Jensen may show
a pumpkin cut in half and then discuss what can be done with pumpkins;
favorites are making pumpkin pie and eating the seeds.
